Top 5 topics in Russian media for the week (May 22-28, 2023)

If the main three topics in the rating of mentions remained unchanged comparing to the previous reporting period (with "SMO", "sanctions", and "war in Ukraine" remaining dominant), then the fourth and fifth positions experienced significant changes. The topic of "foreign agents" dropped out of the top five, and "mobilization" moved to the fourth place. It was replaced by "economic development," which was determined by the Russian-Chinese business forum in Shanghai, which was attended by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin.
The information space was analysed using a refined methodology based on monitoring 3200 Russian websites, telegram channels, YouTube channels, and significant accounts on VKontakte, Instagram and Facebook.
