The top five most mentioned individuals in the Russian media have mostly stayed the same compared to the last week. Predictably, Vladimir Putin is in first place, followed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in second. Joe Biden and Sergey Sobyanin took third and fourth place, respectively. Sergey Shoigu has replaced Dmitry Peskov in the fifth position.
It is worth noting that the ratings of all participants have declined in absolute terms. The seasonal factor can explain this - August is a period of traditional vacations, which affects the intensity of political events coverage.
The information space was analysed using a refined methodology based on monitoring 3200 Russian websites, telegram channels, YouTube channels, and significant accounts on VKontakte, Instagram and Facebook.
