The military is losing the battle for the attention of Russian society to media personalities.
Russian politicians, who make loud statements about the war with Ukraine, received much more attention in the media last week than those who actually lead the hostilities.
The owner of PMC "Wagner" had been represented two and a half times more often than the Minister of Defense, three times more often than the head of the "special military operation" and five times more often than the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Army.
Even Dmitry Medvedev, who at the moment has nothing to do with the management of the troops or a private military company, is mentioned several times more often thanks to his harsh statements.
