Top 5 terms in the Russian media for the week (May 8 - 14, 2023)

In ranking the most mentioned terms, "offensive" continues to lead, as it did last week. At the same time, the frequency of mentions of the "Russian army" has overtaken the "Wagner" PMC. As of a week ago, the third place is occupied by "NATO", with which Russian propaganda virtually fights in Ukraine. A feature of the week is the term "defence" entry into the top 5. Russian media cannot ignore the plans for a counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and are increasingly questioning their readiness to repel it.
The information space was analysed using a refined methodology based on monitoring 3200 Russian websites, telegram channels, YouTube channels, and significant accounts on VKontakte, Instagram and Facebook.
