The first two places in terms of mentions in rosZMI always go to the Russian and Ukrainian presidents. Volodymyr Zelenskyi ranks second in terms of representation in Russian news, and Vladimir Putin remains an extremum in the Russian media space.

Oleksandr Lukashenko took third place last week.
The significant increase in mentions of Lukashenko’s name is explained primarily by Putin’s visit to Belarus, scheduled for December 19. Considering the significance for the Russian Federation of involving official Minsk in the war against Ukraine, the Russian media paid great attention to this event. Moreover, the visit of the Russian president was preceded by Luashenko’s meetings with the Russian ministers of defense and foreign affairs.

Dmytro Medvedev remains in the top five most mentioned personalities in the Russian Federation. Volodymyr Solovyov has been there for the past seven days.
Both provide a high frequency of references to themselves with traditionally sharp and radical statements about Ukraine and the West, as well as the methods of war with them.
It is worth noting that after a sharp surge of mentions in the Russian mass media in the period from December 8 to 11, Viktor Bout was mentioned much less in the last seven days.
