In 2022 Gazprom's profit dropped by more than 3.6 times

At the end of 2022 the clean profit of Russian "Gazprom" fell to 747.25 billion rubles compared to 2.68 trillion rubles in 2021. Over the year the indicator fell more than 3.6 times. This is evidenced by the company's financial report data.

In 2022 gas extraction in Russia decreased by 11.8% to 672 billion cubic meters. The decrease was caused by "Gazprom", which cut production and supply of energy carriers to Europe to historical minimums. Gazprom reduced its gas extraction by 19.6% and export by 45% over the year. Creation of an artificial gas deficit in Europe in 2022 was partially compensated by an increase in its price. However, after market stabilization, due to increased (decreased?) supplies of gas from the Russian Federation, Gazprom's revenues fell sharply.
