Based on economic indicators, the United Nations published its World Happiness Report, with Russia continuing to fall in it this year, taking 70th place between Bolivia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the World Happiness Report ranking, a group of experts on behalf of the UN considers not only such indicators as the gross domestic product (GDP) per capita and life expectancy of citizens but also the level of corruption in the country, the level of social support for citizens, the ability of citizens to make important decisions that affect state and public policy. Russia's position in the UN rating are decreasing from year to year: if by 2016 the country was at 49th place, then by 2017 - already at 59th place and by 2019 – at 68th place.
