In addition, such activities are now prohibited in airports, ports, railway stations, in areas where churches are located and near life support facilities.

Until now, it was forbidden to hold rallies only near presidential residence buildings, courts, emergency response services and Federal Correctional Service institutions.

According to this law, each subject of the Russian Federation can additionally introduce its own bans on meetings, demonstrations and marches, based on the historical, cultural and other objective features of a specific region.
