Russia has entered the top 5 countries in terms of the spread of HIV

These are the data of the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS and the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). According to the results of last year, Russia entered the top five countries with the highest rate of spread of HIV infection, while overtaking Tanzania and Uganda. According to specialized organizations, 1.5 million people were infected with HIV last year, with ten countries accounting for almost 50% of all new cases. The top 5 include South Africa (14%), Mozambique (7%), Nigeria (5%), India (4%) and Russia (4%).
